Exchanges are facilities where you can sell or buy KatKoyn for various other currencies.
Note that by using centralised exchange services, you are giving KatKoyns to a third party, who could disappear with the KatKoyns and never be seen again.
These exchanges have little or no regulation, they are not banks and do not have any of the safeguards that a bank does.
Decentralised exchanges can also fail, and also have no regulation, no warranty, and no 'forgotten key' option.
Trading in cryptocurrencies is a high risk, speculative activity with a very high possibility of substantial losses.
Do NOT purchase cryptocurrencies with money that you cannot afford to lose.
Txbit Exchange - a fully responsive web application accessible via desktop and mobile browsers.
AtomicDEX - a wallet and decentralized exchange in a single application. This is a BETA application, and therefore is likely to change over time, and may not be 100% reliable.
KatKoyns are created by complex mathematical calculations which process KatKoyn transactions into blocks - typically a new block is created every minute. It's possible to do this on a single computer, but a more realistic method is combining the efforts of many computers via a pool, so that all those involved can share the rewards of creating new KatKoyns.

KatKoyn uses the Scrypt alogrithm, so any Scrypt mining hardware can be used.
Can be downloaded here as a ZIP file containing a single HTML document.
This should be run on a computer NOT connected to the Internet or anything else, which is why it's a compressed file and not the HTML directly. Provided without any warranty, review the source code before using if paranoid.
A website wallet creator previously suggested here may not be trustworthy, info here. It still exists - use at your own risk. Or download and review the source code before using.
Every new block of transactions is added to the list of previous blocks - the blockchain. The blockchain is a record of every KatKoyn transaction ever made.
Block explorers provide an easy method of viewing those transactions and obtaining useful information from them.
